The Arab people were known for their remarkable memory and eloquence, evident in their poetry and showcased annually at poetical competitions in Ukaz. One notable poet, Hammad, claimed to recite one hundred long poems for each letter of the alphabet, composed exclusively by poets before the advent of Islam, a testament to the language’s significance as Allah Almighty’s chosen means of revelation.
In the fifth and sixth centuries, humanity faced a critical juncture, as the once-thriving civilization seemed to crumble after millennia of growth. At this pivotal moment, Allah Almighty raised a Rasool among the people to lead them from ignorance into the light of faith. Hazrat Muhammad, spending much time in solitude and meditation in the cave of Hira, was filled with compassion for humanity and a strong desire to eradicate wrong beliefs, social evils, cruelty, and injustice.
At the age of thirty-eight, the period of waiting came to an end for Hazrat Muhammad. In the cave of Hira, Hazrat Jibril (Gabriel) conveyed the divine message from Allah Almighty, bestowing upon him the mantle of Nabuwat (Prophethood). The momentous occasion marked the beginning of his journey to guide and inspire humanity towards a path of righteousness and enlightenment.
